Working with the client
For this project, we worked from design right through to installation to provide the pharmaceutical client with a safe and efficient chilled water system at one of its Irish manufacturing plants.
We were engaged to provide skid fabrication units and the associated pipe installation to the pharmaceutical multinational. Our goal was to provide the highest quality work in the quickest time possible so we could minimise disruption at its manufacturing plant.

Skid Fabrication & Pipe Installation
The Job
For this project, Brodeen Engineering was asked to deliver:
- A chilled water skid unit comprising of a three-pump header
- The associated pipework contract comprised of DN400 schedule, 40 main headers and final connections to two chilled units
What We Did
We fabricated this high-spec skid unit off-site at our state-of-the-art workshop in Tipperary. This reduced our team’s on-site hours, decreasing risk for our client while also ensuring the highest quality work was delivered.
When the time came to fit this chilled water unit, our team was ready to go. The unit was lifted into place as a single module. Once again, this reduced Brodeen Engineering’s on-site hours.
In order to minimise plant disruption for the end client, we worked closely with the on-site engineering team to complete our work at off-peak times. Our expert team then completed the critical tie-ins during a 24-hour shift of plant downtime.
The Results
Through our off-site fabrication services, Brodeen Engineering managed to significantly reduce the amount of downtime required for this project.
Our workshop’s controlled environment allows us to manufacture the highest quality units in the quickest time. This gives Brodeen Engineering a distinct advantage over its competitors.
