Working with the client

Brodeen was successful in tendering for the Removal and replacement of the CHP economiser in the large pharmaceutical plant in Asketon on one of our resident sites.

This project was a huge success due to the partnership formed between Brodeen, Fingelton White, who oversaw the project, and the client.

The Job

The weight of the old CHP economiser was approx. 22 tonnes, which was replaced by a new ecomomiser weighing approx. 20 tonnes.

Brodeen was responsible for the scaffold access, insulation and cladding, removal and install of new economiser including craneage, pipework and valve install, NDT and pipework pressure testing.

This work was completed over a Christmas shutdown with very tight schedule. The heavy-lift proved critical and the Brodeen rigging crew executed this perfectly.
